Jan. 14 Update - Vaccine Sites Update
EUSTIS (Jan. 14, 2021) - This will be our last day at the DOH-Lake Clermont Arts & Creation Center immunization site. We will be announcing a new South Lake drive-thru site in Groveland soon. Date and time of operations for this site will be determined on the arrival of our next vaccine shipment.
DOH-Lake COVID-19 immunization site schedule for the week of Jan. 19-Jan. 21:
We are making arrangements for second dose clients. They will be contacted when their second dose arrives, and they will be given a separate walk-in day or an appointment.
The remainder of our vaccines will be distributed at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Lake County Government Lake Sumter locations and via public health strike teams. Our final numbers of vaccines distributed in Clermont is 14,000.
We look forward to opening our Groveland site as soon as the next large shipment of vaccines comes in!

Please note, as per the manufactures of the vaccine, we can’t administer the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as other vaccines. We must separate the COVID-19 vaccine from other vaccines by 14 days before or after the administration of COVID-19 vaccine. If one had the Shingle vaccine, then they will need to wait 28 days.
If you have been on a blood thinners for less than a year or have had recent heart related surgery, take medications for atrial fibrillation, currently or any cancer treatments, cancer within the last six months, or take any immunosuppression medication please bring documentation from the provider stating that you may take the vaccine.

Jan. 12 Update - Lake County to Offer Appointment-Based Immunization
TAVARES (Jan. 12, 2021) - Lake County will begin administering immunizations for the Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine starting Jan. 12. The Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) has supplied the County with a limited number of vaccines to be distributed in accordance with Gov. Ron DeSantis’ priority population to include long-term care facility residents and staff, persons 65 years of age and older, and health care personnel with direct patient contact.
The scheduling application is available at https://scheduling.lakecountyfl.gov and will begin accepting appointments at 2 p.m today.
“Vaccine distribution in Lake County is part of a long-term, multi-faceted state initiative with several existing and developing options for immunization,” said Lake County Board Commission Chairman Sean Parks. “We have been listening to concerns from our community and wanted to expedite appointment-based immunization for our residents and vulnerable seniors.”

Jan. 12 Update - Martin Luther King Jr. Day Closure
EUSTIS (Jan. 12, 2021) – All Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) offices and immunization sites will be closed Mon., Jan. 18, 2021 to observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. All offices and immunizations sites will reopen Tues., Jan. 19, 2021 with regularly scheduled hours. Our epidemiological team will continue to work on contract tracing screening and all reportable diseases.

Jan. 11 Update - New Location
EUSTIS (Jan. 11, 2021) - Starting Mon., Jan. 11, 2021 the Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) will have a new COVID-19 immunization site in the northern side of the county. Our new location will be at the St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 6803 Old Highway 441 S., Mount Dora, FL.

EUSTIS (Jan. 7, 2021) – DOH-Lake will continue the COVID-19 vaccinations distribution. Please note gate change: cars will not be able to line up prior to 7 a.m. As a reminder, there will be a limited amount of spaces in our lot per day.
Once the lot reaches capacity and backs up on U.S. Highway 27, we will need to close it down due to traffic safety. As soon as we clear the line, we will re-open again in the afternoon weather permitting.
We hope to establish regular hours of operations and appointments as soon as partner site availability, and regular shipments stabilize. Day to day information will be shared via our website, twitter and local news.
