Clermont named one of 25 Best Places to Retire by Money magazine
CLERMONT – The city has been named one of 25 Best Places to Retire in 2015 by Money magazine.
“These 25 towns offer a wealth of opportunities for enjoying your life after work – without cracking your nest egg,” the story released online Tuesday states.
The 25 communities were ranked in five categories: Outdoors, arts, college-town life, golfing and waterfront living. Clermont was ranked a runner-up in the golfing category, behind Prattville, Ala.; Tyler, Texas; Fisher’s, Ind.; and Stillwater, Okla.
“This town (Clermont) west of Orlando has nine public championship golf courses, many of them hilly by Florida standards,” the magazine’s website states. “The median home costs $190,000 and there is no state income tax.”Read the complete story at http://time.com/money/3914804/best-places-to-retire-2015/
