Charter Review Committee to Hold Public Hearing
The City of Clermont's Charter Review Committee is holding a public hearing to acquire public input on the proposed city charter changes. The public is invited to attend.
The public hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tues., April 16, or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers at the City of Clermont’s City Hall, 685 W. Montrose St.
The charter is the city's governing document that includes much of the operational basis for the city, including the composition of the city council and the boundaries of the city. The charter only can be changed through a referendum (vote) of the city's registered voters.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this public hearing is asked to advise the City Clerk’s office at least 48 hours before the public hearing by phone at 352-241-7331 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
